If you are going to run a Internet Business, you need to ensure that your computer is ready to use when you need it.
These tips will ensure that your computer is kept in optimal shape.
- Install Anti-Virus software and make sure it is up to date!
- Install and update your Firewall.
- Check for any available windows updates
- Install an Anti-Spyware program and run regular scans.
- Be Careful with email attachments – even attachments from people you know are not always safe!
- Backup your files as often as possible.
- Clean up all your temporary files.
- Defragment your hard disk drive.
- Maintain at least 10% free space on your hard drive.
- Uninstall any unused or unwanted programs

Have you ever heard a story of someone has lost important information such as emails or other important documents.
The sad fact is almost all of us know someone who has lost data, but still we are not making regular backups of the files that we cannot be without.
BACKUPS ARE IMPORTANT
There are many ways you can backup your data include, burning your files to CD’s or DVD’s, Backup to an external hard disk drive or even using one of the online backup services that are available.
Which ever way you want to go, this is something that you can not afford to ignore.
REMEMBER: Your important documents and emails could be kept in a number of places. You will need to find all of them to back them up successfully.
